League and Cup Updates
Matches appear to being played except for Slammers who have not played any matches so far.

A query over handicap had highlighted an error made by P Lambert on the 1st Round. Slammer given a handicap of -10 when they should have been given -12. Decision taken by the committee is that 1st round result was not affected, so left to stand but handicap has been corrected in the 2nd Round.

2nd Round of the Cup/Plate draw delayed due to Stowmarket V ACE match which could not be played. ACE has forfeited the match to Stowmarket. Orwell V Slammers not played until the 7th January 2004. Cup/Plate 2nd Round drawn by the committee at the meeting.

P Lambert to contact Slammers and find out if there are any problems.

P Lambert to send out an explanation and apology to Slammers.

EVA Reponses
EVA registration: Web site of registered clubs now updated - But according to site on 6th Nov and again 12 January 2004 - Highpoint , Bury and Slammers are still not registered. (could be that EVA web site is still wrong ) Pat has indication that Bury and Slammers have affiliated but as Highpoint still owe money for SVA Entry then the EVA was probably outstanding as well. Public Liability cover not quite the issue with Highpoint as all matched played at the prison and they should be covered.

2. EVA insurance (attached is certificate) £5 million cover!

3. EVA reduced registration fee - EVA did not respond to my suggestion of an 'associate member' fee for cup teams only, despite several emails (P Saunders only got response from first 2 points only, so assume they are just ignoring problem of it being too expensive for 'novice' clubs).

P Lambert to chase Highpoint regarding this.P Saunders to recheck and chase EVA regarding Web site.

P Saunders to chase EVA again.
