In a few competitions this year, so we will keep all informed what is going on here...

 

EVA National Knockout Cup

Our first match in the National cup produced a resounding 3-0 success against Warwick Riga II. Not quite at full strength, but with plenty of good players, Riga were able opposition and generally the game was played in a good spirit. Next up were division 1 side City of Bristol who stuffed us good and proper. TH Lynx ended the adventure but only after one almighty scare. A 3-2 reverse hardly a disgrace, and revenge will be on the menu next year in Nation Division 3!

Suffolk Knockout Cup

First round at home to Ipswich Sharks was tough. Giving up 20 points per set, is not easy against any opposition, and they won't finish bottom this year. Semi Final pitted us against the Moles on 19th April. After a titanic battle, struggling with having to give up 6 points per set, the game finished 2-2, when the sports centre called time. In the replay, it again proved a tight affair, before a battling 5th set victory. Final aginst the Hawks which we won't talk about. Forever to be scrubbed from the memory. For the record it was 0-3.

Cambridgeshire Spring Cup

Drawn away to HMP Ashwell in the first round. Horrid day, professional performance & result. Next round will see us up against CVC28 who we scraped past 3-2. Semi against St Phillips, and a chance to avenge some league defeats, was not taken up. Disappointing performance, shite result.

Cambridgeshire Super Cup

First fixture out of the way, and a very tidy 3-0 double against both the Peterborough teams. They won't have enjoyed that too much! Did a bit of tapping up 'Morinho style' as well for next years National League! Second matches against Perkins and St Phillips were both wins. Final match saw us defeat a subdued Harriers team, followed by a decent 2-1 win against Pips. Still undefeated in SL, spanning 2 years!
